Privilige to serve God by using the HD Professional Camera
0Wah, another great experience I have today. I have the privilege to use the HD Professional Camera (Sony HDC 1500) body for Expo main service. And Pastor Kong actually mention it during service that the church are upgrading to HD. Wow really an experience.
What differences that I really felt comparing it with normal camera configuration:
1. Extra information on the viewfinder
In the viewfinder, operator can actually see the focus and zoom indicator. This really helpful features for me as I can actually adjusted the focus to the right area when Pastor come back to the pulpit. Amazing. And even when the microphone is active, operator can see it in the status Talk.
2. Sensitive Focus Ring
With a slight touch the focus actually change and operator can actually see a much difference if the image is out of focus. Wonderful.
3. Colored Viewfinder
Very interesting. Now the camera operator actually can see the actual color of the picture taken. It makes very different of experience after all. Love it
4. Built in Filter
Another great features of the camera body. The body camera itself actually have star-filter built in into the camera and it can be controlled by ccu operator or the camera operator himself. Wow.
Overall it brings great experience for both operator and the viewers. Looking forward for trying the next HD camera (HDC-1000) with the box lens.
Some review and technical specs on the HDC-1500.

Music and Passion
0Music and passion. Today after taking a half day leave and visit Chinatown with my parent in laws. Went shopping for a while and then waited an hour for my wife to be with us for dinner.
While sitting behind OG Chinatown and chatting, I saw an old-uncle was dragging a speaker and guitar with him. In my mind, it just another basker playing music for living. No offends on baskers outside there ya. To my suprise, when the uncle started to sing, all the public attention is to him. He plays ‘quite OK’ on the guitar and sings old chinese songs that capture attentions from the old-folks loitering around the area. I was expecting to see a small plastics cups/plastics in front of him, to my suprise the uncle did not collect anything from the performance, he is just perfoming for the sake of the performance. WOW, that uncle is living in his passion. After the dinner, I just realised that the uncle actually ice cream seller at that area.
Two things that I learned from this experience:
1. Music / Pop Culture
Music really have powers to bring back memory and capture public attention. We are all in tuned with music. Interestingly when the uncle play, even though not really that clear, but it captures people attention and quite a lot of people actually sing along with the uncle.
2. Passion
Do what you passion about and even though it is for free, as long as you happy. And best if you are paid for it. ha2.
