This is a very exciting development for IPhone game developer. An Australian company 22Moo is launching a game controller for IPhone / IPod. We will be able to see the product soon and the exciting part is the company also will be providing SDK for the controller. The controller is OS 3.0 compatible 8-way D-pad 6 buttons game controller to incorporate a 2000mAh battery, both Bluetooth and Apple’s 30-pin dock connector connectivity, built-in speaker and 3.5 audio headphone jack.

Expected ETA of the product will be on mid September 09.

Have being waiting for the new OS 3.0. In Hongkong, the carrier 3 have sent out sms to all her iphone users that the new OS will be downloadable on June 18th, 01:00 local time. It means in Singapore we will get it around 1 am too. and that is 1pm on the 17th in New York, 6pm in London, and 1900 in central Europe.

What is interesting in my point of view, is the new business in-apps purchase model. With the subscription features, developer will be able to introduce additional features of the application and end-user able to spend according to what they require or demand. For example, like game application, developer can introduce additional stage when user reach certain stages of the game and with the push technology it allows developer to push message in the middle of the game to allow user to buy the additional stage if the user demand too. Interesting.
